At Westerlay Orchids, we believe that being part of the Carpinteria community means more than growing beautiful orchids here - it means investing in the people, families and schools that make this community so special.
That’s why we’re excited to once again partner with the Carpinteria Unified School District for our annual back-to-school fundraiser. For the ninth consecutive year, we’re donating 100% of the profits from our retail showroom to support local students and schools.
From August 24–29, we invite you to stop by our Carpinteria showroom, pick out an orchid (or two!), and help us make a difference in the lives of local students.

Last year, our community came together in an incredible way, helping us raise more than $26,900 through this fundraiser. We’re hoping to match or even surpass that amount this year—and we couldn’t do it without the support of our neighbors, friends and orchid lovers.
Over the years, funds raised through this partnership have helped make important educational opportunities possible, from student field trips and STEM programs to library improvements and equipment for innovative engineering programs at Carpinteria High School.
This year, proceeds will help support enrichment activities and field trips for students throughout the Carpinteria Unified School District.
For us, it’s especially meaningful to know that something as simple as purchasing an orchid can help create an experience that a local student may remember for years to come.
